- Who We Are
Rooted in Violet & Co. LLC is a health education and self-advocacy platform based in Texas, United States. We provide digital health education resources, membership content, and advocacy tools designed to empower Black women and women of color in their healthcare journeys.
We are the data controller responsible for your personal information collected through this website.
- Age Restriction
Our Services are intended for adults aged 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are under 13, you are not permitted to use our Services or submit any personal information to us.
If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will take immediate steps to delete that information. When you visit our website, we automatically collect certain information about your device and browsing activity, including:

- To send marketing communications: With your consent, we will send newsletters, health education content, product updates, and promotional materials via Brevo. You may opt out at any time.
- To improve our Services: Analyzing website usage data in Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our content and improve the user experience.
- To enforce our Terms and Conditions: Monitoring for violations of our Terms and Conditions, including unauthorized sharing of membership content.

a. What Are Cookies

We use Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) to manage our email list and send communications to our members and subscribers. When you register for a membership or opt in to our email list, your name and email address are stored in Brevo.
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link in any email we send you. Please note that even if you opt out of marketing emails, you will continue to receive transactional and account-related communications necessary to manage your membership.

- Payment Processing
All membership payment transactions are processed by Stripe, Inc., a third-party payment processor. When you submit payment information, it is transmitted directly and securely to Stripe. We do not store, process, or have access to your full credit or debit card numbers.

- Social Media Tracking Technologies
We currently maintain social media accounts on platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Threads, BlueSky, and YouTube. At this time, we do not have active social media tracking pixels installed on our website.
In the future, we anticipate implementing social media tracking pixels, including but not limited to the Facebook Pixel and Pinterest Tag, to measure the effectiveness of our content and advertising efforts. When such technologies are activated, this Privacy Policy will be updated to reflect their use, and where required, your consent will be obtained prior to activation.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

These measures include secure HTTPS connections, password-protected membership portals managed through MemberPress, and use of reputable third-party processors with their own security standards.
However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
- Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your membership account is active or as needed to provide you with our Services. If you cancel your membership or request deletion of your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable timeframe, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or compliance purposes.
Email subscribers who are not active members will be retained on our Brevo list until they unsubscribe or request removal.

In addition to your rights under the TDPSA described in Section 10, you may:
- Update your account information at any time through your membership account dashboard.
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or contacting us directly.
